Dr. Nadarajan Janakan M.D., F.A.C.P.
Nadarajan Janakan, M.D. is a member of the Millennium Medical Group South. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Janakan has practiced in the Metropolitan Detroit area since 1998, and is experienced in treating many illnesses and conditions and is skilled at treating patients who have several illnesses or disorders at the same time. He strives to provide the best possible care to his patients emphasizing disease prevention and wellness.
His special clinical interests include diabetes management, arthritis, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.
Dr. Janakan supervises treatment in the Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber at Heritage Hospital for non-healing wounds due to diabetes, infections, surgery and radiation.
Dr. Janakan received his medical degree from University of Colombo in 1992, graduating with honors. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Coney Island Hospital in New York.
Dr. Janakan is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan. He is affiliated with Oakwood Hospital – Dearborn, Henry Ford Hospital – Wyandotte, Oakwood Heritage Hospital – Taylor, Oakwood Annapolis Hospital – Wayne, Oakwood Southshore Hospital and Oakwood Skill Nursing and Vibra Healthcare.
Dr. Janakan has the distinction of being a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). He is dedicated to continuing his education, keeping current with the latest advances in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Janakan is an avid tennis player. His other interests include cultivating, promoting and developing the Tamil language and arts through literary reading and discussion.
